Order No. 468.FMP

When a multicoloured patterned disc rotates very quickly, the eye sees new and often surprising colours as a result of the mixing. This is the principle behind the well-known color gyroscope invented at the Weimar Bauhaus in 1922 and also our new mechanical color mixer, except that the rotation does not end after a few seconds.
A crank with double handle (for different speeds) and a 6:1 transmission bring the colour disc up to 30 revolutions per second, and that for any length of time. Not only can the most varied color mixtures be tested, but the black-and-white Benham disc can even produce colors where none were previously visible.
The enclosed 10 discs allow you to quickly start your own experiments, for which you can easily produce any colour and black-and-white discs you like – an almost irresistible invitation to your imagination!
