Order No. 686.PLP

The five Platonic bodies are named after the Greek philosopher Plato, who described them in detail in his dialogue “Timaios” around 400 BC. He saw in them the smallest, invisible building blocks of the world and assigned them to the classical elements. But these bodies had been known for much longer, the up to 5.000 years old engraved stone balls from Scotland are e.g. clear forerunners. This simple kit results in a set of Platonic bodies with a uniform edge length of 5 cm, with the enclosed hanging hangers also suitable as mobile.
